Pack up your lunch and join MRC on the first Tuesday of every month for our Lagoon at Noon (formerly Lunch & Learn) Seminars at 12:00 pm.

This event is now hybrid with live streaming via Zoom and limited, in-person seating with registration required at the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House.

Low Impact Development Conference Nov. 6–7

The 2024 MRC Low Impact Development (LID) Conference will take place on November 6–7, gathering experts, professionals, and stakeholders from around the area. This year will be focused on shoreline resiliency, flooding, and funding for municipalities. Registration Is Now Open!

IRL Action Assemblies

21st IRL Action Assembly

In July, Marine Resources Council hosted a two-day Indian River Lagoon Action Assembly on the Florida Institute of Technology campus to address critical issues and develop actionable strategies for restoring and protecting the IRL. One hundred and forty-seven delegates and facilitators representing almost 100 different nonprofit organizations, businesses, and municipalities, along with a significant number of independent concerned citizens, volunteered their time and experience. International Coastal Cleanup Day

With your help, MRC enlisted 695 volunteers who picked up 8,726 pounds of trash from 41 miles of Lagoon shorelines on September 16, 2023. Thank you so very much for cleaning up our estuary! Stay tuned for news on the 2024 event!
